Microsoft Launches Online Resource for Teachers On October 16, Microsoft Ukraine announced the launch of a professional online resource for teachers called the Partnership in Learning Network, which helps teachers use information and communication technology to increase the quality of education. The network, which unites more than 1.5 mln teachers from 59 countries, gives teachers access to educational programs and provides them with a forum in which to share ideas, news and experience. This network builds on the idea of sharing best practices in learning, a foundational belief of Microsoft, which also sponsors the Innovative Teacher competition with the Ministry of Science and Education. In 2008, more than 370 teachers throughout Ukraine participated in the contest. Contest winners represented Ukraine at the European Forum of Innovative Teachers.
