UN Global Compact Launches Ecological CampaignOn November 1 the UN in Ukraine and the Global Compact Network launched the second wave of an ecological social advertisement campaign "Seal the Deal" within its Go Green! national initiative. The Seal the Deal campaign aims to galvanize political will and public support for world leaders to reach a comprehensive global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December 2009. Reaching a deal will depend not only on complex political negotiations, but also on public pressure from around the globe. The campaign also seeks to mobilize citizens to make their own contributions to improving the environment. The "Seal the Deal" campaign encourages users to sign an online, global petition which will be presented by civil society to governments of the world. The Ukrainian campaign will cover 500 advertisement boards provided by BigBoard in six Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Simferopol and Lviv. Please click here to learn more (in Ukrainian).
