UN Global Compact Initiates CSR Hearings in Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee
On November 30, the United Nations in Ukraine together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship conducted committee hearings "Developing Corporate Social Responsibility: Ukrainian Perspective" initiated by the Global Compact network. The hearings focused on creating a dialogue to develop a national policy and action plan for promoting and aligning corporate social responsibility in Ukraine with larger developmental goals of the country. Participants of the hearing included government representatives, leading Ukrainian and multinational companies working in Ukraine, the diplomatic corps and other international institutions. Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum - Seminar on "Charitable Auctions: Experience of Practitioners"On December 4, the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum invites interested parties to an interactive seminar entitled, "Charitable Auctions: Experience of Practitioners". During the seminar attendees will have the opportunity to analyze cases presented by Ukrainian charities and to discuss the trends and the role of charity actions in philanthropy development. Ukrainian Development Partners Plant Trees in Kyiv's Park 
On November 20, employees of the National Botanical Garden and the private company, Ukrainian Development Partners, a developer of real estate projects, planted about one hundred trees in the newly created Gardens of the World Park located in the Novopecherskie Lipki residential quarter in Kyiv. The company hopes to promote the need to improve the ecological situation in Kyiv and its status as a green city. The new park consists of different thematic zones which represent different countries. To continue its ecological initiatives in the nearest future, the company, in cooperation with the embassies of Japan, France and the Netherlands, plans to launch an ecological campaign on the importance of nature conservation for schoolchildren. During the final stage of the project children will plant trees in the Gardens of the World Park themselves. Please click here to learn more (in Russian).
